Offloading Concepts for Diabetic Foot Ulcers - What Works and What Doesn't?

In this lecture, James McGuire, DPM, LPT, LCPed, FAPWHc, will identify the particular biomechanical challenges of the diabetic foot and review the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot Offloading guidelines and how to apply them to an evidence-based approach to choosing offloading devices to address the challenges of real patient situations. Alternatives to the use of non-removable cast walkers and the TCC will be reviewed.
